Nick is in his second year teaching Aviation at Futures Lab. Prior to the Lab, Nick taught Mathematics at High Tech High in San Diego, known for its vision in Project-Based Learning. There, he became passionate about equity and providing untraditional approaches for learners within the classroom. This passion and having a lifelong interest in Aviation has made the move to Futures Lab a dream job.
Nick is currently working on his Master’s Degree from Montana State University in Mathematics with a focus in Mathematics Education. Outside of school, he still plays hops on a baseball field every chance he gets. He also loves solving Rubik’s Cubes, flying drones, cooking on his Traeger, and watching the next best show on Netflix with his wife, daughter, and rescue dog, Ralph.
