Hello students and families!

What an honor to be a part of the PSD Futures Lab and more specifically the Behavioral Health Pathway! I began my career as a Recreational Therapist on an adolescent crisis intervention unit for Yale Psychiatric Institute. It was there that I discovered my passion for working with young people, and soon after, earned a masters degreee in special education. Somewhere along the way, I spent a year in Costa Rica teaching English, learning Spanish, surfing, and exploring the beautiful landscape. I also met my wife, who was studying to be a Spanish teacher. Since then, we've called North Fort Collins home for the last 19 years. It's been an honor to serve the students and families of Lincoln Middle School for almost two decades as an intergrated services teacher and English teacher while coaching basketball and wrestling. My own children, Kellin and Jacqueline, are Lincoln graduates and now a senior and a sophomore at Poudre.

I feel so fortunate to be working on the development and teaching of the Behavioral Health Pathway. Now more than ever our society is begining to prioritize the need for more professionals in the field of Behavioral Health, and I look forward to beginning the journey with my students while discovering and practicing strategies to improve our own personal wellness.
